 At Stonelands Quarter Horses, we pride ourselves on raising and offering well-cared-for horses with strong foundations and great potential. Our horses are regularly trimmed by farrier Adrian Ansell, rugged through winter, and handled with care to ensure they are healthy, happy, and ready for their next chapter.

 Cold Shoulder “Breeze” – Thoroughbred Broodmare / Ridden Mare

Breeze is a tall, elegant bay mare with excellent bloodlines and a kind, sensible temperament. She joined our farm in November 2022 and has been a reliable broodmare, producing quality foals including Stonelands Check.

Notable Bloodlines:

    • Miracles Of Life: Winner of the Blue Diamond Stakes (Group 1) and Robert Sangster Stakes (Group 1).
       
    • Southern Legend: Winner of the Champions Mile (Group 1).

Breeze floats well, ties up safely for grooming, and is used to being rugged. She can be ridden, though she will need to be brought back into work since spelling. Breeze is equally suited as a broodmare or a pleasure riding horse.

Belle last raced on 3 February 2024 and has been spelling since arriving at our farm in November 2024. She is handled daily, ties up for grooming, floats well, and is rugged through winter.

    • Thronum was a promising sprinter who won the Zeditave Stakes (Listed) and was placed in the Group 2 Caulfield Sprint.
       
  • Dam: Kahala Dreams

Belle can be ridden, but will need to be brought back into work. She is well-bred, athletic, and versatile – suitable for pleasure riding, performance work, or breeding.

Arnie is a big, striking chestnut gelding with a calm and friendly temperament. He is handled, easy to catch, tied up for grooming, rugged through winter, and floats well, though he can be difficult to load onto the float. Arnie is green-broke and requires more miles under saddle, but he is a smart, willing horse who shows plenty of potential.

 Stonelands Check “Check” – Quarter Horse x Thoroughbred Gelding

  • Foaled: 26/12/2023
     
  • Colour: Chestnut
     
  • Height: Taller than his sire; expected to mature around 15–15.5hh
     
  • Sire/Dam: Will / Cold Shoulder (“Breeze”)
     

Check is a curious, alert, and quick-footed young gelding with a bold presence. He has strong, winning bloodlines from both sides:

  • Dam, Breeze: produced race winners; her sire Not a Single Doubt and dam Arctic Silver NZ contribute proven Thoroughbred speed and stamina.
     
  • Sire, Will: carries solid Quarter Horse performance bloodlines through Doc’s Freckles Oak, giving Check natural athleticism and agility.
     

Check floats, ties up, grooms well, and is rugged through winter. He is coming up two in December and will be ready to start training. His combination of Thoroughbred speed and Quarter Horse strength makes him an ideal prospect for team penning, barrels, or other competitive disciplines.

Arnie

FOR SALE – ARNIE

Meet Arnie, a beautiful big chestnut Thoroughbred gelding, born in August 2017. He has never been raced.


He is by When Bells Clang out of Touch a Tatt, with a strong racing lineage featuring notable winners.

  • 🔹 Grandsire: Clang – A proven racehorse with multiple wins, including:
  • 1995 AJC Breeders' Plate
  • 1995 STC Silver Slipper Stakes
  • 1996 VRC Talindert Stakes
  • 1997 Stanley Wootton Stakes (now Australia Stakes)


  • 🔹 Sire: When Bells Clang – A competitive performer with 6 wins and 11 placings over his racing career.


  • Arnie arrived at our farm in June 2022 and underwent professional breaking and training. He has never raced and remains a blank canvas, ready to go in any direction. At around 15.5hh, he has had a handful of trail rides. 


  • Arnie is a big-hearted, affectionate companion who eagerly approaches you in the paddock. He is in excellent condition and up to date with worming.


  • Currently rugged through winter, he's in great condition and ready for his next rider to bring out his full potential.
